The Australia UAE Business Council is honoured to welcome the appointment of His Excellency Hareb Al Mheiri as the Council's Co-Chair for the UAE.


H.E. Hareb is the Executive Director of Investor Growth at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, where he leads strategic efforts to attract and retain investors and talent in support of Abu Dhabi's Falcon Economy. H.E. Hareb also serves as Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Residents Office and is Secretariat of the Tourism Development Programme.


To mark this significant appointment, the Council invites all members to join a Virtual Roundtable with H.E. Hareb on Thursday 19 June. This will be an opportunity to hear directly from H.E. Hareb on his vision for the Council, priorities for the Australia-UAE economic relationship, and how we can work together to deepen commercial and strategic ties.

    Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Residents Office

    His Excellency Hareb Al Mheiri is the Executive Director of The Investor Growth Sector at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). He plays a pivotal role in leading efforts to attract investors and talent to the Emirate and in retaining them to support Abu Dhabi’s Falcon Economy vision.

    He oversees the identification of potential investment opportunities for local and international investors, the provision of value-added services to companies benefiting from financial and non-financial incentives, and the promotion of the Emirate in international events, in addition to nurturing relationships with investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals and the wider Abu Dhabi ecosystem. The Investor Growth sector is also responsible for attracting top-tier international talent to Abu Dhabi, in addition to facilitating connections between this talent pool and local opportunities and enterprises.

    His Excellency also currently holds the position of Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO), a division of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED). With extensive experience in communications and business development, he oversees ADRO’s day-to-day operations and maximises the efficiency of projects by ensuring close cooperation and communication between different sections. He plays a key role in driving ADRO’s vision of actively contributing to shaping policies that improve the quality of life for everyone in Abu Dhabi, now and in the future.

    His Excellency is also the Secretariat of the Tourism Development Programme, an incentive initiative which provides support to public and private entities to accelerate the growth of the tourism and aviation sector in the Emirate.

    In his prior role, His Excellency also led a successful career at Etihad Airways, as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Destination and Leisure Management. He holds a master’s degree in strategic and security studies from the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi.
